Photography

I have always loved photography and taking pictures.  When I was younger I was pretty much obsessed with taking pictures of myself.  Normal teenager right.  I didn't really get into more than just a "hobby" until we had a baby.  I had a reason to take lots of pictures.  Being able to capture all of those special moments of our little one was important to me.  I always tried to be creative and work with what I had.  Then Jake surprised me with a Nikon dSLR camera.  I thought finally I can get good pictures. Boy was I wrong, I thought since I have a good camera I should now be able to take these great pictures now.  Yes the quality of the pictures were good but they weren't what I was expecting.  The first year that I had the camera I shot in the different auto modes.  I tried playing with manual and I had no clue what I was supposed to do with it.  I started reading more and one day I finally grasped the concept of manual. ...

First time to the little Amarillo zoo

Last year we took Kohen to the Denver Zoo and he didn't really seam interested in any of the animals.  I really thought that he would like it. I wasn't too sure how this year was going to be, I figured since he knows all of his animals and the sounds they make he would be more interested. We get to the small Amarillo zoo and the first thing he sees is the monkeys. "Monkey, eee, eee,!" as he's running towards them.  Then he spots a steer, "cow, cow, mooo!" he stands there and watches him, and he doesn't want to move till he hears the words lion.  He runs over there and starts to growl.  I never thought that he would enjoy it this much.  He was so excited the entire time we were there.  I can't wait for us to go back to the Denver Zoo and let him see all of the animals there.  All in all we had a wonderful time and he was one tired little boy.  Maybe we should go there more often!
